Judy Sedgeman, Ed.D. and Anni Poole, BA Hons are qualified educators, both with years of teaching experience, and working in and with educational institutions.
Judith A. Sedgeman, EdD
Dr. Sedgeman is an Adjunct Professor in the School of Public Health at West Virginia University School of Medicine. She was a full-time faculty member at WVU from 1998 to 2009, during which time she also served as Education Director of the West Virginia Initiative for Innate Health. She was also a mentor in the WVUSOM Teaching Scholars Program for faculty. She served on the WVU Faculty Senate. She was named in 2008 to the Academy of Excellence in Teaching and Learning at the WVU Health Sciences Center.
From January 2009 to January 2012, she was the Director of the Institute for Public Policy and Leadership at the University of South Florida Sarasota-Manatee campus, in Sarasota, Florida. She left USF to form her own Consulting Company focused on Resiliency based in Innate Health. She also serves from 2012 to 2014 as an Initiative Consultant for The Patterson Fo2undation of Sarasota, Florida, on a collaborative project to transform the curriculum at the Ringling College of Art and Design. She currently serves in a Consultant capacity as Program Director for the Center for Sustainable Change.
She has made the Three Principles the Centerpiece of all her work for more than 30 years. She serves as an internationally recognized consultant and trainer in Innate Health for other organizations and practitioners globally. She sees clients as a "Mental Health Mentor" at The Women's Resource Center of Manatee County in Bradenton, FL. A graduate of Wellesley College, Wellesley, MA, she received her Master's Degree from Trinity College, Hartford, CT and her Doctoral degree in Educational Psychology from WVU. She has been a college instructor, an award-winning newspaper reporter and editor, an entrepreneur, and a business consultant.
Her life focus has been on the improvement in the quality of life for people in all stations in life, based on the improvement in the quality of their psychological experience and the creativity of their thinking. For nearly 30 years, she has focused on the redefinition and deeper understanding of mental health, developing programs and fostering work to support the recognition that psychological well-being is an infinite possibility of the human spirit, regardless of circumstances, and a state of being that transcends the "absence of illness."
Anni Poole, BA Hons
Anni trained as a high school teacher and graduated in 1977 in Science with education. She graduated with an honors degree in English Literature (1991) and has undertaken national principal training (1996). Anni has had extensive leadership experience, spanning 25 years latterly as a school principal of 3 schools. She achieved the highest external award for Ofsted school inspection, as a teacher and later as a principal. In the last seven years Anni has worked with many district education boards and continues to support school improvement across the North of England. Anni holds a strong global community interest and has worked in deprived communities, for charities and for a school in Liberia Africa as a volunteer leadership trainer.
Anni is currently a school improvement partner and school governor. Anni has led governor and school wide training since 2000. Most recently Anni trained as a Three Principles coach with world renowned Michael Neill for a period of 18 months (2014-2015). Anni is passionate about leadership, particularly in the field of education.
She has her own coaching business and an established business partnership (September 2009) of six plus years in school support (www.hlsgroup.org). In her spare time Anni is a grandma to Harry, a main carer to her father, a member of Lancashire Wildlife Charity and loves to garden, to read and to go walking. She has written a children's novel and is constantly in the process of creating leadership and teacher training materials. Anni leads global zoom conferences online and coaches youths and families, as well as professionals. She also volunteers for the Lancashire NHS Care team, offering voluntary training.
