Roger C. Mills, Ph.D. (1943-2010)
Co-Founder and Former President
Dr. Mills was one of the pioneers in the development, testing and application of a Three-Principles-based psychology. The National Institute of Mental Health, the U.S. Department of Justice, the National Institute of Drug Abuse, the California Wellness Foundation, and major private foundations funded his pilot-demonstration projects.
Dr. Mills' work with inner city schools and communities plagued with drugs, crime, welfare dependence and abuse resulted in national innovative projects awards, national network and public television coverage, and foundation-funded and corporate-produced documentaries on empowerment, resiliency and change, and unleashing the human potential.
Dr. Mills is the author of Realizing Mental Health (1995), The Wisdom Within (with Elsie Spittle, 2001), and he co-authored other books and publications on the Three Principles. He published numerous professional journal articles and was an international consultant, speaker and trainer. He is posthumous co-author with Ami of the recently released State of Mind in the Classroom: Thought, Consciousness and the Essential Curriculum for Healthy Learning.
