Clytee Lally-Mills

Clytee Lally-Mills, MSN, RNCS
Consultant for Educational and Consulting Services and Intensives
Board Member

Clytee Mills received her undergraduate degree in nursing from the University of Florida in 1964. The following year she obtained her Master's in Psychiatric Nursing. For the past 30 years she has worked as a clinician and teacher in medical and psychiatric hospitals, outpatient clinics, crisis units and community mental health centers. She also taught at two universities and has presented several continuing education classes. Mrs. Mills is certified as a Clinical Specialist in Adult Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing and is registered with the California Board of Nursing as a Clinical Specialist (#911).

Two decades ago she was introduced to this new paradigm in psychology. Over the years Clytee has used this approach as the basis of all of her work. She has been in the unique position of administrating and facilitating classes and groups as this approach spread to community empowerment projects, dual diagnosis populations, partial hospitalization (including geriatric clients), prevention, and training of trainers programs. She has participated in research and conference presentations of this understanding in social rehabilitation, residential and recovery settings.

Clytee is always interested in sharing this approach within the nursing community. She is available to organize presentations at conferences and to provide workshops or classes. Clytee has written several papers in honor of the inspiration she has received from family and friends and her respect for the immense contribution that nurses make to the welfare of humanity.
